Shelvish Shellfish

It was just after my cousin’s wedding in NYC and with less than a day remaining before our flight home, I was itching to see Chinatown. When I got there, the first thing I noticed was the thick smell of seafood that lingered in the air. In Chinatown many shops protrude out the bottom of buildings which means that many of their products are constantly airing out in outdoor shelves. Residents and tourists alike walk in an out of these getting groceries, trinkets and clothing among other things. But having products out in the open like this can lead to thievery, so many shop-owners stand guard at the front to maintain the security of their businesses.
