Al Franken Visits Lee Wong Vang

Stillwater, MN – October 11, 2014 – Lee Wong Vang, one of the first Hmong people to come to Minnesota, hosted a fundraiser for Al Franken at his house. When Franken arrived, he had a celebratory toast/photo op with Vang, and then gave a speech to the esteemed members of the Hmong community who were invited. Due to his tight schedule on the campaign trail, Franken had to bolt to his next event, but before leaving, the Vangs gave him a celebratory champagne bottle with Franken and Vang printed arm-in-arm on the label.
